During February 23rd and 24th, the Senior Masters was held in Oliva Nova. It is a qualifying tournament which adds points to the annual ranking of AESGOLF and it allows the players aged over 70 to compete and represent Spain in foreign countries.
Our golf course, designed by Severiano Ballesteros and considered as one of the best golf courses in the Valencian Community, allowed the best senior players in Spain to enjoy a weekend full of golf with amazing weather conditions and all the facilities in Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort during the competition. Wide sprawling fairways and smooth greens with gentle undulations which challenge every golfer who comes to play in Oliva Nova and which determines the strategy of the game and choice of club to win each hole.
It’s worth pointing out that Mr Juan Ortiz Funes was the winner of the Scratch with a total of 151 strokes, in two rounds of 76 and 75 strokes. The winner in the 1st category was Mr José Antonio Lucha with a total of 144 strokes and Mr Ángel Navarro Yague won in the 2nd category with a total of 143 strokes.
