From January 15th to April 21st, the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour is held in the Centro Ecuestre Oliva Nova. It is a benchmark in the world show jumping competition, which gathers over 1.000 horses and thousands of visitors.

After the first tour, the Spring MET II began in February 5th and it lasts until February 24th. It is in full swing thanks to the participation of the best riders in the world, among them Olympic medallists such as Scott Brash (GBR) and Ben Maher (GBR), both wining gold at the London 2012 Olympics.

The flashpoint of the competition will be reached with the Grand Prix on Sunday, 24th February, a qualifying for the Longines ranking with a prize of 50.000 Euros. Such a good attraction for both, show jumpers and visitors before a two-week break.

Oliva Nova has one of the most important equestrian centres in southern Europe. After 8 editions of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour, the competition has consolidated its position in the international show jumping calendar during the months of winter. This is so thanks to the amazing facilities: 9 sand arenas built by Klaus Dammann, the capacity to host over 1.000 horses, a paved parking lot for trucks with electricity and water connections, restaurants and a varied gastronomic offer and an exclusive shopping village; but the strongest point is the 500-metres distance to the beach.

However, the MET is not only a meeting point for sportsmen. There is a wide gastronomic and leisure offer: restaurants such as Ocean’s or Central Aura Lounge and a modern venue such as The Club, turn it into the best place to enjoy a meal at the showgrounds with a spectacular backdrop.
