A team of runners made up by Oliva Nova staff ran to fight against child malnutrition

Participants ran a total of 220km, equivalent to 2.200 nutritional treatments.

Oliva, 6th November 2017.- Yesterday, the Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort squad attended the 6th edition of the Challenge Interempresas organised by the NGO Acción Contra el Hambre. A sports event held in many cities around Spain and now has been organised in Valencia to achieve the objective “Zero Hunger” and raise funds for the important social contribution carried out by this organisation.

It is a charity run, a teambuilding event with corporate social responsibility, where Oliva Nova staff has been very active in contributing to the fight against child malnutrition. The companies inscribed donate 10 Euros per each kilometre run to Acción contra el Hambre, which is equivalent to 10 days of nutritional therapy.

The team Oliva Nova was made up by a total of 17 employees. The 3rd place in the female category and the 16th place in the general category was obtained thanks to the effort of Ana Gregori, who ran a total of 25.7 km.

The staff participating in this charity action has counted on the support of the executive team and also of the rest of the enterprise Oliva Nova. The participation has also been possible thanks to the collaboration of Denibus, which provided a bus for the runners, and Xaixo Workwear, which provided the running equipment. Finally, the team ran a total of 220km, which means 2.200 days of nutritional therapy to fight against child malnutrition. The race was a great success for both, the number of teams participating and also the family and friends gathered in the athletic tracks of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. On the other hand, fellowship and healthy leisure are encouraged thanks to this event between both by business colleagues and families of the participating companies.
