As it is traditional, greenkeeping staff will take advantage of lower attendance of golfers in May to do the aeration on greens and their surroundings. This process is done twice in the year (May and September). Its goal is to eliminate the layer of compacted roots and dead leaves that obstruct the flow of needed water and oxygen towards healthy roots.

Playing on the greens after aeration is not easy, due to the sand cover spread to fill up the aeration holes. Grass should recover fully in a period between three and four weeks. Micro-aeration is done frequently and with thin spikes the rest of the year, not extracting any soil but promoting similar effects.

Green fees will be free for members from May 16th to 20th. The rest of the visitors and guests will benefit from a 50% discount.
