A key location for national teams aiming for the 2030 World Cup or the Six Nations

Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort with its sports complex has become established as one of Spain’s most prominent sports destinations. It is now a key sub-venue for the 2030 World Cup. With first-class facilities and extensive experience hosting sports events, this location in the Valencia region aims to become a strategic site for the global event.

Located between Gandía and Dénia, the resort combines privileged natural surroundings with high-quality sports facilities. Its golf course, designed by the legendary Severiano Ballesteros, is an international example to follow. With 18 holes, a par of 72, and a 50-hectare course, the course has wide fairways, rolling greens, and strategic challenges punctuated by a variety of lakes with Mediterranean breeze. In addition, it has specialist areas for practising at short range, such as a five-hole pitch and putt course ideal for improving your technical skills.

Even so, sports activities in Oliva Nova do not involve only golf. Its sports facilities include four natural grass pitches that meet FIFA standards, ideal for training football and rugby teams. These facilities have previously been used by more than 300 national teams and professional clubs, including Bayern Munich, Steua Bucharest and countries like Canada, demonstrating their capacity for hosting high-level sporting events.

The complex also has an equestrian centre that organises the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour (international show jumping competition) and national dressage competitions, as well as the TotalEnergies Gran Fondo Alberto Contador cycling event, the recently inaugurated Half Marathon held on 4 May, and seven padel racket courts that host tournaments such as the Madison International, The Padel Cup by Cupra, and Padel Pro.

The experience attained in organising sports events is one of the pillars strengthening Oliva Nova’s bid to become a sub-host for the 2030 World Cup. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has included the Oliva Nova Sports Centre facilities on the official list of 45 proposed sub-venues in the dossier submitted to FIFA. This makes it a strategic option for hosting the participating teams during the tournament.

In addition to its sporting side, Oliva Nova also stands out for its hotel facilities and complementary services. The resort features a four-star hotel, private villas and holiday apartments to ensure the visitors’ comfort and privacy. Its services include a spa, a high-performance gym for professional athletes, and restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. These features make the complex an ideal location not only for players and coaching staff, but also for fans wanting to enjoy the World Cup in an exclusive setting.

The resort’s commitment to sport as a driving force for tourism is yet another key factor in its candidacy. Oliva Nova has proven to be exemplary in tourism for all seasons thanks to its focus on year-round sports activities.

This strategic vision perfectly matches the objectives of the 2030 World Cup: to promote regional development through football and ensure unique experiences for both teams and spectators.

Oliva Nova’s sports infrastructure includes four natural grass pitches that meet FIFA standards, ideal for training football and rugby teams.

Oliva Nova’s facilities have now been used by more than 300 sports teams, from nations’ teams to world-class professional clubs.
