The Government of Pedro Sánchez has asked the autonomous communities to provide a list of public or private infrastructures that could isolate people who test positive for the coronavirus and are asymptomatic or mild, in order to break the chain of infections. These would be facilities such as hotels, conference centers, or sports centers.
The list was due on April 10, the day before employees from nonessential economic sectors return to work. This would improve health care for the light patients who are at home right now and free hospital beds for the most serious. However, this would also require expanding the number of rapid tests to the population.
In this sense, Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Hotel were placed at the disposal of the health authorities from the first moment of the covid-19 pandemic.
